ICCSS Training Offer
The ICCSS Training Mechanism provides for integration/harmonization of chemical and environmental safety and chemical security, and cybersecurity.
The ICCSS Training Mechanism is composed of 3 leading components:
1) Training courses developed in the format train the trainers, for all stakeholders engaged in chemical, bio and environmental activities;
2) Exercises, with an emphasis on Table Top Exercises (TTX), with ICCS own developed methodology;
3) Best practices exchanges and cooperation with specialists.
The ICCSS Training Mechanism includes the active engagement of trained Staff in the development of ChemFriendly Acknowledgment in Chemical Safety and Security. The important feature of ICCSS Training Mechanism is that trainings shall be part of the career and professional development; ICCSS encourages continued, certified, trainings. Following conducted surveys and contacts with the relevant local communities and industries, it is evident that local and industry stakeholders, especially in Small and Medium Companies and local administrations, have no or little knowledge and experience about the chemical, biological and environmental, ad cyber-threats threats and ways to mitigate them.
The ICCSS training mechanism is developed and conducted in 2 streams: one for all local stakeholders, including for women and youth (secondary and high schools).
The second stream is for the industry, government and academia decision makers and practitioners. For both streams training manuals are offered that can be used by the trainers as a support tool.
The ICCSS approach in the training mechanism is to assist in the development of competent staff to enhance local chemical and environmental safety and security and improve local prevention, preparedness for and response to chemical and biological emergencies. The trainings will enable exchange of information and dissemination of knowledge about hazardous substances at the local level and in industry. It will activate and integrate all local structures and communities, especially in the private sector and civil society.
Taking into account the growing cyber threats the ICCSS has developed a unique training scheme aimed at increasing resilience against cyber threats and increasing reliability.
ICCSS Trainings and Seminars offer:
1. Basic Course on Local Awareness and Responsibility in Chemical Safety and Security
Addressed to local administrations and industry decision makers and practitioners, especially in Small and Medium Enterprises (SME), provides a comprehensive understanding of chemical, biological and environmental, ad cyber-threats threats, which happen locally, and ways to mitigate them.
2. Local/national/regional Seminar/training on chemical security national and chemical conventions and arrangements implementation
Addressed to all stakeholders who develop and introduce local and national legal and administrative measures and assume roles in prevention, preparedness for and response to CBRN man-made and/or natural disasters
3. Basic Course on Chem-Bio and Environmental Safety and Security
