On 25th August, 2021 ICCSS President hosted an official dinner to celebrate 30th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence. In opening toasts the partners confirmed the importance of EU-CHEM-REACT program, initiated in 2017 by Lviv University of Life Safety (LSULS) and ICCSS, in Ukraine European aspirations.
During intensive consultations on 26th August, the final arrangements were made on FX preparations. The meeting confirmed the ICCSS and Lviv University of Life Safety (LSULS) provide an effective leadership in the EU-CHEM-REACT 2 project and FX preparation.
The Ukraine partners confirmed that an participation of Ukraine in EU-CHEM-REACT 2 implementation was based on our assessment that the project is very valuable instrument in aligning Ukraine with UCPM. EU-CHEM-REACT 2 assists in building the bilateral trans-border cooperation with Ukraine in civil protection.
The development of the FX COVID-19 Safety and Security manual to provide a safe conduct of the Exercise is a major achievement. The Manual will serve as a complete guidance for conduct of trainings and exercises in the CBRN area in pandemics conditions.
The consultations confirmed that the FX main objective is to test UCPM activation and use of EU tools and procedures. FX will serves as an important process to enhance uses of UCPM in countries outside EU.
FX will be accompanied by EU Observer program, VIP Day and an active media program. There will an online transmission from the main FX events.
