During the PZU Risk Engineering Days 2015 Conference, held in Sopot on 17th September, Amb. Krzysztof Paturej received the ‘Personality In The Field Of Safety In The industry’ award. This title is awarded to the leaders of the process of chemical safety and security development, during the annual PZU conference ‘Risk Engineering Days’.
The justification identified the unique role of ICCSS– its leadership in enhancing chemical safety and security on the national and international levels. The personal commitment of the President of ICCSS has also been emphasized, particularly in the development of the Polish global specialization in chemical safety and security and his work toward implementing innovative programs to enhance safety and security in dealing with chemicals.
When accepting the award, Amb. K. Paturej stressed that industrial safety and security is not just a cost, but it is becoming rather an investment. It creates the environment for development of sustainable and safe industrial activity. He also pointed out that an important direction for the development of polish enterprises from the point of view of corporate social responsibility, should be the alteration of the hitherto policy of reactive management to more pro-active one, based on individual risk modeling.
Annual ‘PZU Risk Engineering Days’, brings together leaders of the Polish industry and distinguished international guests. The general goal of the Conference is to raise the level of industrial safety and security and to promote modern methods of risk management.
During this year's edition Conference, PZU inaugurated its PZU Lab project. The main objective of the project is to develop cooperation with industry and national and international research centers to develop modern and efficient methods of risk management. ICCSS was invited to cooperate in the development of PZU Lab.
