December 21, 2015 the workshop with the team of the International Centre for Chemical Safety and Security (ICCSS), in Warsaw, (Poland: Amb. Krzysztof Paturej - President of the Board, ICCSS; Dr. Andrzej Kozak - Adivsor to President Office of Technical Inspection, Senior Science Advisor at the ICCSS; Col. Krzysztof Cyganczuk, Advisor to the Director, Scientific and Research Centre for Fire Protection – National Research Institute, Mr. Zbigniew Chrzanowski, Coordinator of the Cluster on Safety and Security and Civil Protection, and
team of Ukrainian public organization “Ukrainian Union of Fire and Technological Safety Union” (Ukraine): President-Chairman Borys Platkevych, Yurchyshyna Natalia- lawyer and Chikalo Inna – Head of Scientific and Technical Center took place.
The core objectives of the workshop were:
1. Coordination and cooperation between the leading stakeholders and international partners in the field of chemical and fire safety and security.
2. To exchange information on what each stakeholder could make and plans to do to develop the program.
The main objective of workshop was:
Signing the Memorandum of Understanding
The following actions follow from the memorandum:
1. To determine the list of standards to be adopted first;
2. To develop training programs;
3. Train the trainers and experts for the work on chemical safety, security and fire protection;
4. Assistance in material - technical equipment of training centers;
5. Assistance Ukrainian producers to reach the EU market through Poland and promote cooperation between Polish and Ukrainian companies in protection and crisis management;
Including the UFTSU, as a leading partner of Global Summit on Chemical Safety and Security and the accompanying fair (www.chemss2016.org) and the Ukraine Forum on Chemical Safety and Security on 18th April, 2016, to be held during the global summit on chemical safety and security.
