The ICCSS and China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation (CPCIF) and China Chemical Control Association (CCCA) in an joint communique confirmed partnership to strengthen dialogue and coordination and jointly respond to international chemical safety and security challenges.

The CPCIF and the CCCA showed great interest in the Global Summit on Chemical Safety and Security and accompanying Fair (www.chemss2016.org), which will be held on 18-20 April 2016 in Kielce, Poland, and join the Summit and the Fair as partners. The Chinese partners also indicated their interest in ICCSS’s program proposal to China on promoting local awareness and responsibility in chemical safety and security- enabling local governments and actors to meet safety and security challenges. This unique program contains various training courses and networking opportunities which could enhance chemical safety and security at a local level in China and initiate concrete cooperation between the ICCSS and China.

The ICCSS has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the CPCIF and the CCCA at the end of the seminar. The agreement includes supports in upgrading chemical safety and security policies and in providing assistance in the development of training programs, voluntary initiatives and other expertise and advise in the field. Acting in this spirit, the three sides expressed their satisfaction with its results and decided to remain high-level contact and strategic dialogue to enhance Polish-Chinese bilateral cooperation in the field of chemical safety and security.
