ICCSS Developing Partnerships with US Chemical Industry Associations

While in Washington DC for the Chemical Sector Security Summit, the ICCSS President, Amb. Krzyszof Paturej, held detailed discussions on potential cooperation with representatives of the Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates (SOCMA) and the American Chemistry Council (ACC).

SOCMA represents a diverse membership of small, medium and large chemical companies located around the world. SOCMA members include many Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and contribute $24 billion annually to the U.S. Gross Domestic Product. Its members play an indispensable role in the global chemical supply chain by producing intermediates, specialty chemicals and ingredients used to develop a wide range of industrial, commercial and consumer products. The ACC represents the leading U.S. companies in the business of chemistry, who make a voluntary commitment to uphold the highest standards for protecting health, safety, and the environment. The ACC is committed to improved environmental, health and safety performance through the world-class Responsible Care® initiative, participation in which is a condition for ACChttp://www.americanchemistry.com/Membership membership.

Amb Paturej invited SOCMA and the ACC to partner with the ICCSS in the Global Summit and Fair on Chemical Safety and Security as part of cooperation agreements to be concluded with both organisations.
