ICCSS active support and participation in the work of the OPCW

ICCSS Exhibition and Side-events during the CSP-24, The Hague 25-29 November 2020

Established by former OPCW Staff, as an independent, non-profit foundation, registered in Warsaw, Poland, ICCSS functions as an international leader in developing chemical security culture and sharing knowledge and best practices in chemical safety and security and cybersecurity at local, national, regional and global levels.

ICCSS promotes development of the OPCW as a global agency to reduce chemical threat and a global platform to promote cooperation for the prevention of and preparedness and response to the misuse of toxic chemicals. OPW shall offer a venue for multi-stakeholder cooperation in practical implementation of the efforts to prevent the misuse of CBRN agents in general, in line with UNSC resolutions 1540 (2004) and 1977 (2011), and relevant international commitments.

During the CSP-24 we display, distribute materials and documents promoting the ICCSS, its projects, cooperation with international partners and support for the OPCW mission in reducing chemical threats. The proposed activities assist Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) implementation with an emphasis on Art. VII (national implementation) Art. X (assistance) and XI (international cooperation).
