Eka Dian Pusfitasari

Eka Dian Pusfitasari is an analytical chemist at the Research Center for Chemistry – Indonesian Institute of Sciences (RC Chem – LIPI). She is also responsible as Chemical Safety and Security Officer at her institution. She is a member of Analytical chemistry division at the American Chemical Society and a member of ICCSS Global Team for Southeast Asia. Currently, she is also a deputy executive assistant for the National Network of Chemical Safety and Security of Indonesian Chemical Society (HKI). Besides, she is also a technical team of RC Chem – LIPI to work with the Indonesia National Authority for Chemical Weapon Convention to implement the Convention.

Education:
Eka Dian Pusfitasari got a bachelor degree in Chemistry in Indonesia. In 2014, as the third fellow of fellowship program namely “Robin Copeland Memorial Fellowship”, she got opportunity to study on Disarmament and Non-Proliferation at CNS Monterey Institute of International Study, Monterey California – USA with main title project: Implementation of Chemical Security in Indonesia Laboratory. She was also trained by the ICCSS – Poland about Chemical Safety and Security in 2015 before being a part of ICCSS Global Team.

Experiences:
Ms. Pusfitasari is a researcher (an analytical chemist) and the chief of chemical safety and security officers at the RC Chem – LIPI. In 2015, she worked as an intern at the American Association for the Advancement of Sciences (AAAS), Washington D.C., USA to work on Chemical non-proliferation. In collaboration with Responsible Care Indonesia, Indonesian Chemical Society, U.S. Chemical Security Engagement Program (US-CSP), CRDF Global, Indonesia National Authority for CWC, she conducted several workshops, seminars, and training, focusing on implementation of chemical security in Indonesia laboratory and analytical – organic laboratory works.
