Mr Broemme currently holds the position of the Honourable President of THW (German Federal Agency for Technical Relief), Germany. It is a federal, governmental organization for disaster response in Germany and worldwide with 80,000 volunteers and 1,800 full-time employees. Mr. Broemme also has various functions in national and international societies, confederations and organizations, such as Past Chair of INSARAG Regional Group Africa/ Europe/ Middle East (UN International Search and Rescue Advisory Group) and President of EFA (European Academy of Fire Protection), Head of Advisory Board for the National Civil Research Program, Chair of the Board “Future Forum Public Security”.

Education:
Mr. Broemme holds the Master Degree in electrical engineering, obtained at the University of Darmstadt.

Experience:
Mr. Bromme acquired rich experience while working as Senior Officer at Berlin Fire Department, where he later became Chief Fire Officer. Since 2006 he serves as President of THW. Since 2016, he serves as  a Special Envoy of the German Federal Government for Implementing the Statement of the European Union with Turkey on Migration.
