Renato Bonora has been working on CBR decontamination, detoxification technologies since 1988. He is a chairman of the Unifront spin-off of the University of Padua (Italy), R&D in disposal of stockpiled conventional and special ammunition and energetic materials. He has patents on decontamination systems and demilitarization technologies.

 

Education:

Degree in chemical engineering (Dr.-Eng.) and a PhD in Separation Processes.

 

Experience:

In the years 1993-95 he was a member of the National Group for defence against ecological and chemical industrial risks, project: “Risks from industrial activities and from attacks with chemical weapons involving the civilian population”. In the years 1997-1999 he was a member of the commission for the “Regulation of the activities of waste thermo-destruction”, Veneto Region. 2001 – present, R&D on conventional and special ammunition demilitarization for the Italian MoD and civil organizations. 2002 – present, Member of “Big Risks Group” National Civil Protection Organization in Italy. Since 2005 he is a member of Scientific Committee of the World Resources Forum, launched by Empa, Switzerland.
